DOOSAN Art Center hosts Hanna Hur: 8. This is the Los Angeles-based artist’s debut solo exhibition in Seoul, Korea. The exhibition is co-curated by Christopher Y. Lew and DOOSAN Gallery Chief Curator Hyejung Jang.
Hur will present eight new paintings arranged within an isometric enclosure. Configured as a room within a room, the grid bleeds into the built environment, enveloping the viewer. 8 extends the artist’s preoccupation with the physical encounter of painting.
Hanna Hur lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. Hur received an MFA from University of California, Los Angeles in 2019. Recent solo exhibitions include Dracula’s Revenge, New York (2024), Kristina Kite, Los Angeles (2023, 2021); Feuilleton, Los Angeles (2020); and Bel Ami, Los Angeles (2019).
