ABOUT:
sidony o’neal is an interdisciplinary artist and writer who lives and works in Portland, OR. Recent solo exhibitions include Dracula's Revenge, New York (2023); Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, OR (2022); and Veronica, Seattle (2021). Institutional group exhibitions include Portland Art Museum, OR (2023); and SculptureCenter, NY (2020). o’neal has participated in residencies at Mass MoCA and Banff Centre, among others. In 2020, o'neal was awarded the Oregon Arts Commission's Joan Shipley Award. o’neal is a 2022-23 Hodder Fellow at the Lewis Center for the Arts, Princeton University, and was recently awarded the 2023 Hallie Ford Fellowship in Visual Arts.
